Only national company capable of maintaining and developing the equipment of the power plants that make up the Almirante Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Plant (CNAAA), in the municipality of Angra dos Reis, in the State of Rio de Janeiro.

Created to serve the Brazilian Nuclear Program, NUCLEP has a strategic geographical position, purposely located a few kilometers from the Almirante Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Plant (CNAAA), and accessible through its Private Port Terminal. The specialization of its professionals in the area was carried out through specific partnerships, with training in Germany and France. NUCLEP is also the only company in the country with Certification by the ASME Code III, issued by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and essential for the manufacture of nuclear components for generating electricity in power plants.

With precision and efficiency, NUCLEP manufactured the Condensers, Accumulators and super-compact racks for Angra 2; Replacement steam generators for Angra 1 and Pressurizer, Condensers and Accumulators for Angra 3.

 NUCLEP also manufactures the important equipment used to exchange heat between a product and the environment.

In Nuclear Power Plants, where the uranium fission chain reaction releases a lot of heat, intense heat could damage the reactor and this is why the a heat exchanger plays an essential role as a cooler.
