It is impossible to think Scope the NUCLEP without thinking Scope quality. The first Qualitu Assurance Program of was emitted by the NUCLEP in 1980 and described the Quality Assurance System of - QAS Atomic Energy Agency- IAEA and the Technical specification of the CNEN. This QAS, was from now on, constantly revised and improved allowing the supply of products for any type of industries.

But to conquer new markets, mainly in the exterior, it was necessary to intensify this search still more, therefore, new in the whole world concepts of the quality started to invigorate.

In 1989 got the first certifications in accordance with ASME code the stamps S, U and U2. In 1991, the NUCLEP initiated a reorganization of its QAS, adjusting it lo the requirements of the techinical specification of the ISO series 9000.

This constant search for the excellency of its products and services provided to the NUCLEP the recognizing on the part of the most famous national and international organisms. In this way the NUCLEP started to be the first Brazilian state-owned company to obtain, in 1994, the certification ISO 9001. They were opened, for the NUCLEP, the main borders for the competitive in the whole world market.

In the 17/05/2002, NUCLEP obtain the Nuclear Certification ASME - Stamps N, NPT, NS and NA - that qualifies to manufacture and to export nuclear components for the electric nuclear plant, in any part of the world, mainly to U.S.A. and Canada, where these Stamps are demanded by law.

In 2003, as plus a step in direction modernity, the NUCLEP implanted a new Quality Management System - QMS getting the certification in compliance with ISO 9001:2000.

• Maintenance an permanent training programs in the country and external, for the continuous improvement of the employees capacity.

• Application of the principles of the continuous improvement of the Management System aiming to the satisfaction of our internal and external customers.
